Corruption... Corruption...Corruption...

Yesterday, I learned a dark secret that just frustrated me so much. I can't tell you guys because it's quite serious but it's about money. I can't believe some people are willing to do anything to live a luxurious life... To build their status... To... *angry* And it's happening to people close to me. Does money make people do that to other people? How can they be so selfish?

    Ok, well, it's kind of vague. Not that I expect you to reveal any details, but uh, yeah, some people want to keep up the Joneses. My ex-wife is like that (she may not think so, but the truth is, she is) and in so many words, that's how we ended up divorced. I was upset for literally years over that.

    I guess I would be glad that it's not your money?

    The love of money is root of all evil. What helps me avoid an envy that will eat me alive is to concentrate on my own finances.

    Just make sure that no one puts anything in your name or bank account it's not worth it.

    Yes...there are a lot of unbalanced/unhappy people out there....most of them pursue a quick fix to their lack of self-belief..... some pursue alcohol, gambling, sex, power and yes it's a common thing for people to pursue money as if it was more important that the air they breathe.

    We all got to concentrate on building ourselves into better people than that.

    There are a lot of people who definitely have it wrong about money. They have a love/hate relationship with money. Loving money is not bad, letting money CONTROL you is. Money can give you financial independence to enjoy your life but it should not be accomplished through greed and the expense of others. That is where karma kicks in. Just remember when it comes to you and money, true success and abundance comes not from being competitive, it comes from being creative. Competitive success is only temporary.

    Um ... I can relate ... can't discuss details either ... definitely unethical, probably illegal ... lack of conscience is unnerving ... sense of entitlement is totally upsetting. I like to think what goes around, comes around. Be happy with who you are and the scruples that you have.

    My reaction is to advise you to be careful, watch out for being taken advantage of, keep your distance from the person or situation if possible, protect yourself, make sure it does not appear to anyone else that you are part of this. Find someone smart and wise to help if it is a problem for you.

    keep your purse strap tightly closed. There are many who like to take advantage of others.
